Possible Return Scenarios for CM Punk

With the absence of CM Punk still in effect, we not only have to wonder whether he will come back or not, but if he does, when and where will he come back? Of course in the WWE, there are many possibilities for wrestlers to come back and make an impact on the company and their fans.

Scenario 1: The Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble is not only the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania, but also is a hot spot for returning WWE Superstars. In that night, legends and current superstars return to the ring, and sometimes carry on to have matches in the WWE. Take the New Age Outlaw's for example. They returned on a one time basis, and continued to become the Tag Team Champions! This is a possibility for CM Punk. Returning and winning the Royal Rumble would make a huge impact, and send him straight to WrestleMania to fight for the title.

On the personal side, waiting until the Royal Rumble will mean Punk would have had a year off, allowing him to rest and be fresh when coming back to the WWE.

Scenario 2: Returning to face Brock Lesnar

It is no secret that WWE may have a hard time finding another man to face Brock Lesnar for the title after the feud with Cena (assuming Lesnar retains at Night of Champions). Bringing Punk back at Survivor Series to battle Lesnar would not only be a blockbuster main event, but help carry on a feud stemming from the 2013 SummerSlam.

These to me are two of the best scenarios for Punk. Not only do they send him straight to the top of the roster again, but give Punk the chance to earn back the title that he once held for over a year. Just like always, we do have to prepare ourselves for a WWE without Punk permanently.

Looking Back and Looking Forward for CM Punk

With one of WWE's biggest stars still out of the company, fans all around the world are wondering if they will ever see CM Punk in the ring again.

Think back to January 26th, the night of the 2014 Royal Rumble. This is the last time we would see CM Punk in the ring on WWE programming. CM Punk entered as number one in the Royal Rumble match, where he would survive 49 minutes in the match before he is eliminated by Kane. Since then, Punk has been MIA, making appearances anywhere but the WWE.

For a while, Punk was rather quiet. His Twitter remained silent for weeks to follow the Rumble leaving fans wondering what was next for Punk, and the question remained unanswered until recent weeks where Punk reported that he will "never ever" go back to the WWE when he was seen at the AP Music Awards. So now the question is, will CM Punk ever get back into the ring?

It is not secret that the relationship between CM Punk and the WWE was rocky since the beginning as the company signed Punk, and then tossed him to the side. It wasn't until Paul Heyman recognized the talent and brought Punk to his new reforming show known as ECW. Here is where Punk grew as a wrestler, and had a chance to show those in the pro-wrestling world exactly what he was made of.

After a time in ECW, Punk was finally brought up to the WWE's SmackDown roster where he would have memorable feuds with men like The Undertaker, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, and John Cena. He would become lead numerous groups and movements like the Straight Edge Society (Featuring Luke Gallows and Serena) and the New Nexus. He would continue on to hold the WWE Championship for a record breaking 434 days before he would loose it to The Rock, and continue on to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29 later that year.

Although CM Punk has had one of the most memorable and impactful careers in WWE history, it is not that past that is in question right now. What ever WWE fan around the world is wondering right now is what is in the future for CM Punk, and will we ever see him again in the WWE ring?

Of course there is no sure fire answer for this question. There are too many variables and scenarios that could offset the plan for the Best in the World. We can speculate all we want, but reality is that only CM Punk and the WWE really know what is in store for the WWE Universe when it comes to CM Punk.

One huge role in the decision for Punk to come back is the past relationship between Punk and the WWE. As stated previously, the relationship was always a bit bumpy between the two. Think back to 2011 where CM Punk left the company due to the unhappiness with the way his career was going. As hard as he worked he did not receive nearly as much recognition as he deserved for all his had work. he was not the face of the company, and he certainly was not headlining big shows like WrestleMania. He wasn't on the opening for Raw, or the souvenir cups for fans. He was tired of watching opportunities get handed to men like The Rock while he is in the background working night after night not getting the opportunities that he has been working for his entire career.

Just while Punk was on the brink of leaving the company, he received an opportunity to face John Cena for the title. He said that if he won, he was walking out of the WWE with the title, and never coming back. This was what Punk wanted. He wanted the spotlight on him, and a chance to shine. He wanted to make an impact and man that's what he was going to do that night.

After defeating John Cena, it didn't take the WWE long to come up with an offer that brought CM Punk back, so now we must wonder, will WWE be able to draw CM Punk back into the business after the second walking out?

Another variable is Punk's personal life. Even though we fans sometimes forget, WWE Superstars do have a life outside the business. Since the absence of CM Punk, we have heard about him getting married. This could have been one thing keeping Punk out of the business. Taking time off for a wedding would make perfect sense, and if this were the case, we should be expecting him sometime soon back in the company.

One possibility we try to avoid but must recognize is that CM Punk is actually done with the WWE. Lets face it, CM Punk was the hardest worker in the locker room during his time in the WWE. He worked night after night entertaining millions of fans per year. He was a part of intense and heated story lines that would span over the course a weeks. He was able to obtain and defend not just any championship, but the highest honor in the business for over a year. If he is retiring he certainly has earned it. He gave everything he had to this company day in and day out no matter what the circumstances. As fans, we should respect that fact that it was time for him to go, and allow him to retire peacefully.

Top 3 Superstars Underused by WWE

In every sport, there are those on the team who shine and are fan favorites, and the WWE is no exception to this. Just like basketball, football, soccer, or baseball, there are some superstars that shine, and some that fade out of the spotlight. Here are some superstars that are not used to their full potential.

3. The Big Show

Just like all other sports, there are stereotypes as to what the athlete should look like. For instance, in basketball, an ideal player is a tall and in shape athlete. Just like I said above, WWE is no exception. When people think wrestlers, they thing big, tall, muscular men who look mean and scary. Although we have seen this is not the exact mold of a wrestler, there are some men that fit the bill. The Big Show is certainly one who fits the mold on the roster. With a man shows size, you would think he is out there squashing men in the ring, throwing them around until they can't help but tap out. But anyone who watches WWE knows that Show's career is quite the opposite. Although his size is very intimidating, WWE made Show's character out to be a teddy bear like man, who can become vicious and brutal. Was this necessarily the best thing to do with him? Certainly not. The use of the "World's Largest Athlete," has been mediocre at best.

Think back to Royal Rumble 2014 where he was clobbered with a chair by Brock Lesnar. Or even better back to 2012, where he was on his knees, crying, and begging for his job. These are all things that reduce the ability for WWE fans to view him as vicious and intense competition. If I were a wrestling promoter, I would not be putting a 7 foot tall giant in a sumo suit and sticking him out in the ring to sumo wrestle at the biggest show of the year. I would be putting him in the ring against a man like the Great Khali (Also underused) so that two 7 foot tall giants could fight for dominance.

2. Zack Ryder

WWE has a high turnover when it comes to superstars in the business. I mean lets face it, being a wrestler isn't easy. You are putting your body and wellbeing at risk on a daily basis, and living out of a suitcase for weeks at a time. With stars like John Cena and Randy Orton going on 10 years with the company, fans and executives must realize that these men will be moving out of the business very soon, and they will find that mid card talent will be brought up to the main event slot.

Zack Ryder believe it or not has amazing talent, and we saw what he could do in his early years during his partnership with Curt Hawkins. Zack not only is in very good physical shape, but also has phenomenal ring abilities that are under appreciated by the WWE. As of late, Ryder is mostly used as a punching bag for new and upcoming wrestlers like Rusev. They stick him the ring to get beat up and sometimes pick up the win. With bigger main event superstars moving out of the business, WWE has to consider who will fill these slots, and I think Zack Ryder is a good candidate. His social media following and his ability to be a fan favorite and sell merchandise are unprecedented.

1. Kofi Kingston

As we have seen throughout the history of pro-wrestling as a whole, wrestlers come in all shapes and sizes. There are the large, 260 pound men, and then there are smaller and lighter men who have the ability to fly off the ropes, and execute breath-taking high flying moves. One man has stood out in the recent years of the WWE, and that man is Kofi Kingston.

Kofi Kingston, starting in the WWE in 2006, and making his debut in ECW in 2007, demonstrates unbelievable ring ability that has the ability to leave fans in awe. His intense and energetic personality has the ability to heat up a crowd and get everybody fired up while he is in the ring. It is a shame that the enthusiasm he processes goes to waste, and is not seen much by fans anymore. Kofi is an amazing wrestler who fans love, but don't see too often. Back in 2012, Kofi got a good chance in the spotlight while he held the tag team titles with R-Truth, and then a while after when feuding with the Miz. But after that, Kofi has not carried out a specific story line, nor had time on the mic or in the ring. This is an awful waste of talent. Kingston is one who should be in the ring on a weekly basis whether it be Raw or Smackdown, and feuding with one of the companies top guys.

Unfortunatly, the WWE roster features many wrestlers who are not used to their full potential, and I hope some day these wrestlers have a chance to rise to the top where they can shine and show the WWE Universe what they can do.

WWE Lacking a Superstar to Fight Lesnar

After yet another shocking moment gifted to us by Brock Lesnar, WWE has left their fans with yet another question in their mind, who will go up against Lesnar for the title after Cena?

On August 17th, we saw something that we thought would never happen again. Lesnar defeated Cena in one of the most memorable displays of brutality in recent years. It has been 12 years since Lesnar last held a WWE title, talk about coming back with a bang.

Now that Lesnar has defeated not only the Deadman, but also the "most resilient" superstar on the roster, we now have to question if the WWE has someone that can take on Lesnar, and eventually defeat him for his title. Although the roster is full of main event superstars, most of them are wrapped up in other story lines, or are heels themselves.

Plan A: Randy Orton

With Randy Orton being a 12 time champion himself, it makes him a legitimate competitor to face Lesnar for his championship. Although he seems to be an amazing opponent, we have to consider that he is in a story line with Triple H and Kane. The Authority does not seem to be coming to a close, but we never now. It is very possible that Orton could turn face again to take on Lesnar for his title.

Plan B: Roman Reigns

After breaking off from the Shield, Roman Reigns shot to the top of the roster and began a face paced solo career. He has not only demonstrated his superb solo ability, but also showed just how intense he can be in the ring when the spotlight is solely on him. Roman Reigns going up against Lesnar would not only be amazing for Reigns' career, but would also give Lesnar the oppurutnity to pass the title onto a new upcoming superstar that will likely be WWE's number one man soon enough. Both men exhibit face paced, and brutal styles in the ring which would make for a hell of a match.

Although it is unlikely that Lesnar remains in WWE to have a title streak similar to CM Punk, we can always consider that a possibility. Of course this is also all resting on the fact that Cena doesn't win his title back at the upcoming PPV, Night of Champions.

Update on the Undertaker's Health Following WrestleMania

It is no secret that the Undertaker's physical health has been on a rapid decline in the past few years. It became more evident this year when the Undertaker was unable to deliver a match that we have seen in past years that included breath-taking suicide dives, and intense combinations of punches. This year we saw what seemed to be clobbering of the Undertaker by Lesnar.

Following this years match, it became known that Undertaker had suffered a concussion early on in the match. It is unknown if the concussion was responsible for the slow performance of the Undertaker, or whether it was caused by other health issues that were a problem going into the match. You do not have to be a WWE Superstar to know and understand that body of a wrestler ages and gets injured faster and more easily than another person's body. We began to see a decline starting noticably at WrestleMania 27 where Undertaker was unable to leave WrestleMania on his own feet, and was taken away by WWE medical staff. One year later at WrestleMania 28, Taker competed in an intense physical bout against Triple H inside Hell in a Cell. Although Undertaker delivered an amazing match full of awe-inspiring maneuvers and amazing moments featuring HBK and The Game. Although the match was amazing, and you wouldn't see signs of the aging body of the Undertaker, we saw it after the match when the Undertaker was very slow to rise to his feet, and had to be carried out by Sean Michael's and Triple H following the match.

Seeing the decline in health and physical wellness of the Undertaker in previous years, it was clear to fans going into WrestleMania that Brock Lesnar would be the biggest challenge Taker has faced in recent years. After suffering a concussion early in the match, it later became known that Taker collapsed after walking through the curtain following his match.

It is known that Undertaker is back in the gym working out and getting back in shape, but we have heard from friends of the Undertaker that he has no plans for WrestleMania 31, but that decision is not final until the months before WrestleMania.

Possible Return Matches for CM Punk

It has been over over 4 months since we have seen CM Punk inside a WWE ring, therefore some have wondered if he will ever return. Although there are no definite answers to the question circling the WWE Universe, we can only hope that the Best in the World returns to the company where he became a wrestling icon, and begins doing what he does best, entertaining the WWE fans all around the world.

Even though there has been no signs of a return by CM Punk, one can still plan and predict when his return would have the greatest impact on the WWE Universe. Of course CM Punk is one of the biggest stars the industry has ever seen, and it would only be appropriate for him to return to go up against one of the biggest names in the business.

5. John Cena

John Cena, similar to CM Punk, is a man who has made a huge imprint on the history of WWE. When you think WWE, John Cena comes to mind. With moments like Punk walking out on WWE with the title after defeating Cena, it would only be appropriate for Punk to face a man who he has faced before and has a lot of history with. They are both two fighters who can deliver not only a good match, but amazing promos leading up to the match. A match like this would build up a large amount of hype, and give CM Punk the homecoming he deserves.

4. Chris Jericho

With the recent return of Y2J fresh in our minds, we have to wonder what is next for him in the WWE when the Wyatt family feud is over. A match between to amazing technical wrestlers like Punk and Jericho would be fitting for the return of an icon like CM Punk.

3. Roman Reigns

There is a lot of unknown to CM Punk when it comes to thinking of his next moves. CM Punk can be amazing whether he is a heel or face in the WWE. Assuming CM Punk returns to the WWE, we have to wonder whether he will return as a heel or baby face. If he were to return as a heel, a match against one of the most popular men on the roster would bring out the best in both Punk and Reigns.

2. Triple H

Defying authority is something that CM Punk does best, so why not put him against THE Authority. The Game has slowly been moving his working schedule down from competitor, to business man as much as possible. He competes on Pay-Per-Views more, and live shows less. With Triple H becoming a part time wrestler, it is important that he is matched up with the correct opponents to keep the WWE Universe hungry for more Triple H. CM Punk vs Triple H is one match that no WWE fan would want to miss.

1. Brock Lesnar

They say that once you are a Paul Heyman guy, you will always be a Paul Heyman guy, but CM Punk changed his mind. After Punk and Lesnar squared off at SummerSlam last year, the WWE Universe was left hungry for more intense matches like that from Punk. With the return of Lesnar also being awaited, the two facing each other at SummerSlam of this year would be a blockbuster match that nobody would want to miss.

Possible Opponents for Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam

This years WrestleMania hosted in New Orleans, featured one of the most shocking events the history of sport entertainment as a whole. On the night of April 6th 2013, Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all, thus doing what could not be done for over two decades.

There are no words to describe the moment referees Chad Patton's hand hit the mat that third time. It is something die hard fans will remember for the rest of there lives. For some people, it was 22 year journey they followed to the end, to others, a defining moment in their childhood.

With WrestleMania far behind us, and the road to SummerSlam now beginning we have to wonder what is next for the Beast Incarnate in the WWE. Hearing little from Lesnar after his career defining match at WrestleMania, we do not have much to go on for what the 1 in 21-1 is looking to accomplish next in the WWE. As a dominate part time superstar with a brutal and intense wrestling style, Brock can take on anyone in the locker room and make a good show out of it whether he is completely clobbering his opponent, being given a run for his money. With such a broad range of opponents, we are left with a whole locker room to pick from. With that, these are my guesses.

5. Bray Wyatt

"He's got the whole world in his hands," some may say. Some said the same about the Undertaker. If there is one thing Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman like to do, is take down those who have made history. Brock Lesnar competes against the best and only the best (ie. Triple H, John Cena, The Undertaker, CM Punk). Given his past few matches at PayPerViews, we can only assume he will target another one of WWE's major players. Bray Wyatt and his family of "Duck Dynasty Rejects," (Quote from Randy Orton) have made quite the impression on the WWE Universe. Their appearances and promos on both Raw and Smackdown have been flawless, and Bray's in ring ability is top notch. A match between the Beast and the Brute would tear the house down at SummerSlam.

4. Chris Jericho

Just 2 weeks ago, Y2J returned to WWE in Hartford on Raw, a moment that nobody saw coming, but certainly appreciated. Chris Jericho is not only one of the best entertainers in the WWE, but also one of the best technical wrestlers the WWE has ever seen. Putting Y2J against a brute force beat would not only give Jericho an amazing return match, but would entertain all members of the WWE Universe.

3. Roman Reigns

As WWE Superstars from the previous generation of entertainers move out, we see new talent becoming major players in the company. Gone are the days of Triple H and Shawn Michaels dominating Raw and Smackdown in DX. Now, we see Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt headlining Raw after Raw. Who better to take on Brock Lesnar than the front runner of the new generation. A man of Reigns' size would be an amazing match for Brock Lesnar. Reigns and Lesnar sharing the same brutal style makes them amazing opponents for each other, and would make for an amazing match at SummerSlam this year.

2. John Cena

With a long history of amazing matches between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, a continuation of their rivalry would be an amazing way for Brock Lesnar to re-enter the WWE. Is the match known as one of the bloodiest matches in WWE History, John Cena took on Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012. This match is one that is very hard to forget and one that I will remember for a lifetime. To continue John Cena's rivalry with Brock Lesnar would be not only an amazing match, but an amazing move for John Cena's career. Brock Lesnar being an ultimate heel after WrestleMania gives Cena the opportunity to win the fans over as he marches into battle against one of the most hated men in the business.

1. Sting

It finally happened. Sting was signed to the WWE, but where is he? For months, people have been speculating about what the WWE could do with Sting. SummerSlam holds a huge oppurtunity for Sting to make a huge impact from his return to the business as he goes up against one of the most brutal fighters to step foot into a WWE ring. Although rumors say Sting will face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, the WWE has to find something for Sting to do in the mean time. Putting him up against Lesnar will not only show that Sting's still got it, but set the stage for a major WWE career.

At the end of the day, we can predict all we want. But WWE is famous for making moves that nobody expects. The only way to know for sure is to watch every week, which I know I will be doing.

My Thoughts on CM Punk

After today's excitement on Twitter with CM Punk breaking his Twitter silence, fans everywhere are wondering if this means he will be returning to the WWE any time soon.

In my opinion, this does not show anything definite about a possible return of the Best in the World to the WWE. As exciting as his tweets today are, they do not even speak of WWE, or show anything other than that CM Punk is still alive. As much as I myself want CM Punk to return back to the WWE, I wouldn't get to excited yet. Wait until we at least know that C
M Punks representatives are talking to WWE, which we know that as of right now, they are not.

Was Giving Lesnar the Win at Wrestlemania XXX Best for Business?

After experiencing the end of the Undertaker's 21 match undefeated WrestleMania streak, fans were left shocked and infuriated with the WWE.

Although it was bound to happen, we have to wonder whether Brock Lesnar was the best guy to put it to rest. With Brock Lesnar being nothing but a part time superstar, the ending of the streak does not get nearly enough recognition from the man who ended it himself. Instead, we have Paul Heyman rubbing it in peoples faces every week.

Some say that there are numerous other superstars worthy of ending the streak, and still would have respected. For instance, Randy Orton. Although Brock Lesnar is more likely to break the streak than anybody else on the roster, the WWE did not consider Lesnar's status as a part time wrestler.

Could CM Punk Return at Payback?

With CM Punk still in the wind, fans are beginning to wonder if there is a future for CM Punk in the WWE.

After the Royal Rumble, fans have been left wondering what to expect from CM Punk. And by what we have seen in these past few months, the answer to that is aboslutely nothing. Since the departure of CM Punk, fans all around the world have been wondering what twas next for the Best in the World, but they have yet to see answers from the WWE or CM Punk. CM Punk has gone completely silent on Twitter, and the WWE is coping with the situation by removing those who choose to make signs representing Punk from the arena, or confiscating the signs.

With the war between CM Punk and the WWE still going, it is very unlikely that we will see anything of CM Punk in the coming months, maybe as far as Summerslam. But then again, it is the WWE, and you never know what could happen next.

Stay tuned to our blog and Twitter account (@WWENewsForFans) for more.

Connor the Crusher

With the name Connor the Crusher circling the web like wild fire not all WWE fans know just exactly who he is.

Connor the Crusher was a 7 year old boy, who was diagnosed with Pediatric Brain Cancer. He made a YouTube video and talked his way backstage when Raw was in Pennsylvania, requesting that he got to meet his favorite WWE Superstar, Daniel Bryan. His video was seen by the right people, and he was granted a backstage visit after the arena cleared after Raw. There he met his long time wrestling hero Daniel Bryan, where he got to lock him in the YES lock and make Daniel tap out.

From then on, Connor was known throughout the WWE locker room, and he was constantly on the mind of Superstars and fans everywhere. Watch the tribute video to learn more about Connor's journey to WrestleMania 30.

Update on CM Punk

With the Best in the World absent from WWE for such a long time, fans all over the world are wondering when, or even if CM Punk will return back to WWE.

As of now, there is nothing from CM Punk regarding WWE on his Twitter page. He broke his Twitter silence today to tweet to fellow athletes, but still nothing in the regards to his career in the WWE. Keeping this in mind, fans still have no confirmed idea as to what occurred that caused CM Punk to leave, but we do know that WWE has handled the situation poorly.

Every week, new pictures turn up on twitter, and tweets are sent about beings sent out for having CM Punk signs. We have also heard things ab
out signs being taken from fans, or painted over. Whether some of these stories are true or false is another question, but we do know that instances like this have occurred. As of May 16th of this year, CM Punk and WWE have had no contact with each other, per an article from Bleacher Report.

Is Undertaker Done?

After seeing the most unbelievable moment in WrestleMania history, the future of the Undertaker is still a mystery to the WWE Universe.

Even those who do not follow WWE still know about the Undertaker's loss to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30, which ended his 21-0 perfect winning streak at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 8 where he defeated Superfly Jimmy Snuka. After the loss of the streak, fans were left shocked both in the Superdome and at home. They did not know just what to think of what had just happened before their very eyes.  A while 21 year streak had just come to an end. The spectical of WrestleMania itself...gone.

As fans sat in their seats, and on their couches and chairs at home, we were looking for clarification. Was Undertaker done? Will the Deadman ever come back? Nearly 2 months later, still no answers. All we have to go on are rumors. Although some say that Taker is done, others say he will be back again next year at WrestleMania 31 for a match against Sting in a dream match. With the lack of a retirement speech or ceremony live on Raw, we have to wonder, what is next for the Deadman?

As usual, look for us on Twitter @WWENewsForFans and be on the lookout for more news coming to you from our accounts on Twitter, and on this blog!

WrestleMania 30 Card Update

With WrestleMania under 3 weeks away, the card for this years WrestleMania is coming more and more clear. As of Monday night, Daniel Bryan will face Triple H at this years Mania, with the stipulation that if he wins, he may continue on to the main event where he will face current champion Randy Orton, and Royal Rumble 2014 winner Batista, in a Triple Threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Obviously being a main draw to this years event, fans who support the #YesMovement are finally getting more than what they want.

Also announced Monday night, John Cena will face head of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt. With no WrestleMania plans for Eric Rowen and Luke Harper, fans are speculating some involvement in the match from Bray Wyatt's "family." After costing Cena his chance at the Elimination Chamber pay-per view just a month ago, this match has been anticipated for weeks.

Last but certainly not least, The Phenom will take on the Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 30. Many are saying that this is the most dangerous match that the Undertaker has been in since beginning his streak of WrestleMania wins after beating Jimmy Snuka. All eyes will be on this years Streak Match for sure.

Keep checking the Twitter and the Blog for more WrestleMania 30 updates.

The Streak, 2?-?

With WrestleMania just under 4 weeks away, who doesn't get excited to find out who the Undertaker is facing at that years event. This year, Brock Lesnar is the one heading into Mania with a chance to end The Streak, but Taker fans have to wonder just their favorite superstar with fair against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
Known for his brutality in both the UFC and the WWE, Lesnar could pose a legit threat to not only the
Streak, but the Undertaker's health and career in the WWE. With Taker aging and cutting back on his time in WWE, he is unable to perform year round, and do the intense and dangerous things he once did in his career. Watching Lensar's bouts with superstars like John Cena and Triple H make fans everywhere wonder just what the outcome could be of this years match.

Still No CM Punk?

It has been over a month since the WWE Royal Rumble, which also means it has been over a month since we have seen CM Punk in any WWE programs. But the absence of Punk has not gone anywhere close to

being unnoticed by the WWE Universe. With fans rioting over the absence of one of the most popular stars in the business, the WWE is making no attempt to settle with the fans as of late. The WWE has only encouraged frustration of the fans by taking signs away from fans as they enter the arena, and removing those who choose to cheer for Punk from the arena which only added to the tension between the business and their fans! As WWE rolled into Chicago on the road to WrestleMania, officials were worried about the reaction of the fans of the Chicago born superstar. No matter how loud the chants got, other superstars and the McMahon family ignored the crowd and continued on with their planned bits for the show. Fans still livid with the with WWE and "The Authority," are waiting for the return of the Second City Saint, and praying for it to come soon. Check back to the blog daily for more news on the

Possible Return of Kurt Angle Coming Soon?

Tweet from Jeff Hardy teasing a Rumble return
Although numerous superstars leave WWE and move onto TNA, many superstars are beginning to return. With the already predicted return of Jeff Hardy after his walk out during Impact on December 26th, and a tweet that was posted, but then removed that teased a Royal Rumble Return, many WWE fans are wondering who else is
looking to make a return to the WWE in the near future. Superstars like Booker T, and Rob Van Dam have ventured to build a career in TNA, but have returned back to where they started in the WWE to connect with the WWE Universe and build a fan base in the WWE again. With the door still open for TNA stars to return or begin a career in the WWE still open, many superstars are resigning with the larger corporation. With this, many are expecting a return of the previous gold medalist Kurt Ankle.

In a recent interview with WEEI.com, Angle himself said, "I can't say I'll never go back (to WWE). My contract is up in eight months, so we'll see."

Jeff Hardy to Possibly Return at Royal Rumble 2014

After Jeff Hardy walked out on the December 26th episode of Impact Wrestling, rumors have been running crazy about a possible return of Hardy to the WWE. After he walked out on the company, The Enigma tweeted, "Dear Creatures, If there was a year to watch the Royal Rumble, it would be 2014. Keep a close eye. I know I will. TheEnigmaReturns." Whether this is just a tease, or whether it is serious is still a mystery as the tweet was removed from Hardy's twitter account. Now a buzz of Hardy's return is running through the WWE Universe, and fans everywhere will be on the edge of their seats during this years Royal Rumble Match.

Henry vs. Lesnar at the Royal Rumble 2014?

After a violent a brutal confrontation on the last Monday Night Raw of 2013, Mark Henry was left injured after being driven through a ringside barrier, and F-5ed onto the ringside floor by Brock Lesnar. Recently tweeting just a few minutes ago on 1/4/14, He states that Brock will pay for what he did to Henry. This could lead to matches between the two at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, or WrestleMania Pay-Per-Views. Of course this all depends on when Mark Henry can return to the ring in decent shape. A match between these two men could be a big career push for Henry as well as just the beginning of the road to getting the title for Lesnar. Follow us on Twitter to keep you posted @WWENewsForFans

SmackDown 1/3/14 Recap

As the first televised WWE event of the year, the WWE needed to make sure that they put together an amazing show to start 2014, and boy did they deliver. The show began with a promo from The Shield which was then followed by a tag team match where Seth Rolling and Roman Reigns took on The Usos. SmackDown ended with a R
aw or even a Pay-Per-View quality main event.

Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. Jimmy & Jay Uso:

Being the first match of 2014, the WWE Universe expected nothing but an amazing match, where two of the top teams in the tag team division went head to head. The two teams took nearly two TV segments to complete their match. Although this would be yet another bout between the two teams who have faced off many times in 2013, the match was high quality, and was a great show and year opener for the WWE.

The Usos took the win over The Shield, as the match ended in a highly suspected disqualification, which is trademark of The Shield.

Fandango vs. R-Truth

With both superstars accompanied by their gimmick partners (Truth with Xavier Woods, Fandango with Summer Rae) they went head to head on the first SmackDown of the Year. Both superstars gave an average performance, it was nothing special. R-Truth took the victory off the distraction from Woods and Funkadactyls.

Renee Young Interviews Big E. Langston

After the incident on Monday Night Raw where Mark Henry came to confront the newly returning Brock Lesnar, Renee Young looks to get Henry's partner Big E Langston's thoughts on what happened Monday night. Langston says that Henry is a bit beat up from the confrontation but he will be back in the ring shortly. He states that when his partner walked down to confront Lesnar that he was looking for a match, not a ringside fight. The interview was soon interrupted by Curtis Axel (Langston's opponent on SmackDown) who antagonizes Langston.

Tag Team Title Match: The Brotherhood vs. The Wyatt Family

With a strong 2013, the tag team division was one of the most entertaining parts of the WWE lineup this past year. Not only did they close out strong, but they are opening strong as well with a championship match on the first SmackDown, and first televised event of 2014. With the absence of Bray Wyatt at ringside during this match, all eyes were on the superstars as they faced off for the titles. The match like most other tag team matches with the Rhodes was action packed and full of amazing moves in the ring. The brawled both in and out of the ring but all in all the Rhodes came out on top, retaining their tag team titles. If I had to guess, this match could lead to a potential rivalry where these two teams face off at future Pay-Per-Views like the Royal Rumble and Elimination chamber. Overall, it was an amazing performance, and an excellent way to begin 2014 for the already going strong tag team division.

Nikki Bella vs. Aksana

The Diva's division had an okay 2013. After suffering the loss of a strong and competitive Diva, Eve, they are lacking the non-hair pulling, and competitive Diva's who are looking to entertain the WWE Universe using wrestling as opposed to lame gimmicks. They gave an average performance, much like the rest of the Divas with the exception of the feud between the Total Diva's and the others in the locker room.

Big E. Langston vs. Curtis Axel

After being provoked by his opponent earlier on that night during an interview, Big E headed to the ring to take on Curtis Axel. The match was a very basic match. It lacked the "wow factor," in my opinion. This could lead to a good feud between the team of Langston and Henry, and Ryback and Axel. In the end, Big E came out on top.

CM Punk & Usos vs. The Shield

No matter how many times these teams take on The Shield, they never get old. These two teams have a sort of chemistry where they could fight over and over again and deliver an A+ performance over and over. With previous bouts between both CM Punk & the Usos with The Shield, the match was bound to be exciting. After CM Punk's 3-on-1 handicap match at the TLC PPV, any encounter between these 4 superstars is promising and exciting. The two teams put on an amazing main event, leaving everything in the ring. When the charismatic CM Punk is put together with the high flying Uso's, the live audience and those watching at home are engaged in the match and on the edge of their seats. CM Punk picked up the win with the GTS on Ambrose to win by pinfall.

Final Thoughts and Predictions for 2014

Overall, this SmackDown was an amazing way to begin 2014. Some predictions on my part are:

  • The Shield will soon break up. Reigns will move on to a solo career while another rising star joins the already popular Rollins and Ambrose.
  • A Undertaker could soon return to start a feud with Brock Lesnar. After a confrontation at a UFC event where Lesnar lost the championship to Cain Velasquez, the two are likely to face off at WrestleMania.
  • Bryan will soon return as a part of the Wyatt Family, but he will reveal that he was only joining to turn on them and destruct them from the inside.

The Shield Getting a New Member?

Recent reports have surfaced that the WWE's biggest team of Heels, The Shield, could be joined by a new member sometime in 2014. Some recent SmackDown and Raw shows indicate that Roman Reigns is on the verge of leaving his Rollins and Ambrose for a solo career sometime in the near future. There is a lot of mystery as to who this new member could be. The name Mason Ryan, a part of CM Punk's New Nexus, and a star that never quite broke out in the WWE is a likely candidate for the position in The Shield.
A brief statement from Bryan Alvarez in this weeks F4W Newsletter says:

"The feeling this week is that when Roman Reigns does his babyface turn and split from the Shield, likely in February, that he'll be replaced with a new guy in the group. The name Mason Ryan has been thrown around as a possibility."

Although Mason Ryan is a likely candidate, he would need to seriously work to improve his in ring ability as well as his promos and his speaking on the mic, which were both mediocre at best 2 years ago. Since his pull from TV, he has bounced in and out of NXT numerous times, and has suffered a few injuries. But if these reports are true, we should see a huge solo push for Reigns coming up and a new member of The Shield sometime in early 2014.

Could CM Punk be taking on The Game at this years WrestleMania?

Although previous rumors that surfaced stated that CM Punk would be taking on Batista at this years WrestleMania, other sports journalist and rumor junkies tend to disagree. According to F4WOnline, a match between CM Punk, and Triple H is already set in stone. With a win at WrestleMania over HHH, it could lead to another potential "CM Punk Summer," which could possibly lead to matches with Batista down the road at Pay-Per-Views such as Money in the Bank, and SummerSlam. With previous confrontations, one recent being during the unification ceremony on Raw, it is likely to be a good story line to build, which could later lead to confrontations with Batista and or Randy Orton, as they were both part of Evolution with Triple H.

Possible Return of Hogan?

As we move closer and closer to WrestleMania, rumors upon rumors arise about possible returns to the WWE. The long time rumored Batista is getting ready to return in a matter of 2 weeks, on January 20th on Raw. Brock Lesnar made his shocking return to the WWE this past Monday on Raw to close out 2013. Now rumors are surfacing about the possible return of the legendary Hulk Hogan to the WWE to compete at WrestleMania 30. Hogan being a huge part of history as he competed in earlier Mania's may return as a matter of commemoration for the annual wrestling celebration. It is rumored that Hogan will return to face the "Hulk Hogan of 2K," John Cena, keeping the sequence of Cena's bouts with legends at WrestleMania alive. Another rumored opponent for Hogan is legend Roddy Piper. Although this is unlikely, you can never discount Vince McMahon to throw a surprise our way.

Multiple Openings for Lesnars WM Opponent

After the return of The Beast on the last Monday Night Raw of 2013, many doors have opened as to who his WrestleMania opponent will be. A highly anticipated opponent for Lesnar is of course The Undertaker, but another possibility for Brock is to face The Rock. During a Q&A session on Twitter, a fan asked rock who he would be returning for WrestleMania 30, and if so who he would be facing. Rock responded by saying he had no official plans for WrestleMania 30, but there has been talks between the two superstars along with the companies chairman about the possibility of a match like this one.
Another strong possibility would be for the soon to be returning Batista to face the newly returned Lesnar. With both men coming back to WWE fresh off of MMA & UFC careers, they are returning stronger, and with more force than ever before. Both having a similar in-ring style, similar body builds, and similar histories, a match like this at WrestleMania would be huge. The match would be well known even outside of the WWE, as the headlines of this match would spread to UFC, and MMA fans, they would be getting ready to tune into to watch. A rivalry between Batista and Brock is a high possibility, and would be whats "Best for Business."

Randy Orton vs. Batista at WrestleMania XXX?

Ric Flair, Triple H, Dave Batista & Randy Orton
With the return of "The Animal" getting closer and closer everyday, fans have to wonder how exactly he is going to fit into the story line. There is a large possibility that Batista will face his former teammate Randy Orton for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30. Being familiar with each others in ring style, what better way to welcome back the Animal than with a match with a former friend and tag team partner. Could we be seeing a new face of the WWE?

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX?

Undertaker going 21-0 at WrestleMania 29 after defeating past
WWE Champion CM Punk
Although numerous reports of John Cena vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 have surfaced, journalist and WWE Followers are pointing towards Lesnar vs. Taker for the upcoming event. The recent return of Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw this past week only fueled the fire, the match is set only to take place if The Undertaker is in proper ring condition, and able to work a physical match up with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
